Attaching the video of the badge since it won’t let me post videos and images at the same time.

The 2nd #dcdarknet badge at #defcon will be free. It’s available on a first come, first served basis.

Once again, this badge is designed to teach basic electronics, rather than soldering. So this year’s badge is a wooden badge that will use springs rather than solder joints.

You will also be able to decorate your badge by painting it with ammonium chloride. We will then use a little heat, in a “safe” way, to burn your art directly into the wood.
It is definitely a pride point that this badge required the installation of an eye wash station.

See you in the contest area at con.

Just finished putting the protective coating on all 1000 badges. They are boxed and ready to go for #defcon
Just a little bit of miscellaneous kitting to be done, and then I’m good to go.

Man, #badgelife is a lot of work.

These badges will be available at the #dcdarknet contest at #defcon
(These are not the same as the meshtastic badges)

19,000 parts have been installed on 1,000 badges.
This was a lot of work. Whew!

Now just need to add a special conformal coating to each of the badges to protect them and then they are ready for packing.
