On the first day of Christmas, my true love gave to me this “drinks by the dram” wonderful world whisky advent calendar. 
Day 1 - Starward Fortis Single Malt Whisky. Bottled at 50% alc/vol. 
My reaction to the first sip was “wow, oaky” and a slight pepper note. Notes of vanilla and chocolate covered raisins on my second sip and I fell in love.

I was gifted a Tomatin 12-year-old single malt scotch whisky for my birthday a few days ago and I've been looking forward to popping it open.
