It's hilarious and believable because he comes from the party of prudish propriety, where everyone throws gays under the bus, and then gets shamed out of office because they solicited sex in an airport bathroom.

Something I just realized about the whole #CouchFucking thing is that there's a level of class disparity to it, a bit like the "when you grow up on a farm, your first girlfriend has hooves" thing. This speaks to a level of poverty and isolation that most Americans can't imagine what it's like to grow up in.

Yeah, it's weird to think about, but when #JDVance wrote about how he and his friends have all fucked couches, he's talking about the sort of boredom and apathy that comes from growing up in a place where there is no hope for the future. We have to remember that Appalachia lacked any sort of investment in infrastructure after the coal industry dried up, or any sort of reason for the people there to aspire to anything, because the vast majority of those that do quickly realize just how unattainable anything is for them.

The big issue is, #Vance thinks that his story being different from the norm was because he's morally superior, rather than being one of the extremely lucky few.

Wouldn't it be crazy if #Trump decides to do what #McCain should have done and didn't, and swaps his VP out? Wouldn't it be even crazier if it was over the #CouchFucking thing?
