Using the abstraction of "open" is great for techies that understand how #theInternet is closing, but is the average joe seeing this. They see everything looks #accessible/open to them. It all looks #convenient.

Do they perceive the "#closingAspect"?

If they don't, and especially if the #nextGeneration don't then we'll fail with #openWeb.

How about this…

"an interconnected web"

Or…

"a social network – but open" (strongly implies that social is currently closed)
