Okay, having now watched an episode of Adam Adamant Lives!, I can see why it only got one season. It really tries to be the Avengers, and while it may have been able to compete with the pre-Diana Rigg Avengers, it came out concurrently with the color Diana Rigg Avengers, which is no contest better.
Still fun. Of course the villain behind the league of uncharitable women ends up being a man who misleads the well meaning old ladies.
