Used the Ranger for actual truck things today and hauled a load of palm fronds to the dump. Y'know, the original reason I bought this thing. đ
Truck handled it great, but it ripped my tarp up a bit. I had to go over the causeway on 80, and even with having multiple ratchet straps and sticking to grandpa speed in the slow lane it was enough to get that tarp whippin' pretty good on one corner.
But nothing fell off and I didn't have any interactions with the HiPo, so win!
Nothing like seeing seven straight days of rain in the forecast to motivate me to finally mow the lawn.
I don't know what got in me, but Saturday I went full-on #ChoreDad. Despite waking up at a very non-Dad hour of 11, I de-weeded the entire patio, weed-whacked around the lawn, cut back the Oleanders from around the roof (gotta deny the rats any way to get up there), edged the driveway, and washed the car.
And then took the night off photography to get BroTime with my best friend and be out until nearly 2am.
Needed that.
Tax return money was burning a hole in my pocket so I picked up a Dewalt 60v weed whacker last night and ordered a 60v lawn mower.
I am -excited- y'all. This weed whacker is LIGHT YEARS ahead of my old electric. Cleaned up my entire front yard in like 5 minutes. I'm actually looking forward to tackling the jungle that is my back yard.
AND there's different attachments!
I can get a POLE SAW for this thing! How rad is that?! đ
I need to replace the flapper and maybe the fill tower. The fucks who built this place decided the sink counter should extend over the toilet. I have less than four fingers of space to work with.
