Ich bin damals wegen des #BuildService, Tumbleweed-Ökosystems und Open QA zu Suse und war einige Jahre dort. Weil ich einsehen musste, dass Rolling Releases das Modell der Zukunft sind. Bin etwas enttäuscht wie langsam das durchsickert, aber es sickert. War ein ähnlich starker Einsichtsmoment für mich wie damals der Erstkontakt mit #opensource. Imho sind Releases nur für alte Businessmodelle notwendig. Die meisten gravierenden Security-Probleme resulitieren aus Profitgier.
@joshthetechie For the few packages that I need (besides what is in #tumbleweed) I just build them in the #buildservice.

How to conveniently install stuff from the #opensuse #BuildService: #Librewolf is imho the best browser available. Firefox-based, it shows how competitive FF COULD be. It was recommended to me because it is GDPR-compliant and not from CalTech company. Lovin' it, has replaced #brave on my systems.
Using these commands as examples:
# su
# zypper in opi
# opi librewolf
--> run it. I copy the ~/.librewolf directory thru all my systems, so I even have mastodon/matrix/other accounts in sync.
