I got a new phone, asus zenfone 10. It's practically the same as my old phone, a zenfone 8, only is it faster, has twice as much GBs, and most importantly, a usb port that works. The fingerprint reader now is in the power button instead of in the screen, not sure if i like this change. It got two huge lenses that make the phone wobble when lying on its back. But what I love is it's still the same small size, only 5.9".

I hate how I can't hold my phone without a fucking pop-socket or something and even then it hurts my fingers to do so! There are no modern small android phones that are comfortable to hold and use. If I could use certain apps like Signal, Telegram, some sort of maps, and mastodon on a "dumber" phone. I think I would try it at this point.

With the launch of the mini series of iPhones I was hoping small phones would make a comeback. I don't need a tablet for a phone, that's why tablets exist. Sure big phones do have a market, but there are not many options for small phones. I loved dailying the Nexus 5 as a work phone until it broke. Then I moved over to the 3a as a work phone. Good phone, but I miss the small form factor.
I do hear the founder of pebble is working on an actual small android phone perhaps?
