@reinedunord My parents are still IFB and now that I’m older I don’t feel the need to hide a whole lot anymore, but my wife and I hid the fact that we drink for many years, now we don’t actively hide it, but we don’t make a point of it either. There are a lot of issues like that, which precludes a lot of topics of conversations with my parents unfortunately. So many land mines.

I made my way out of the fear and hate and guilt of Bob Jones so I know what it’s like to have rewire your brain and your heart.

Here’s a #postcard showing Bob Jones University. Founded in Florida in 1927 as Bob Jones College, it moved to Tennessee in 1933 and then to South Carolina in 1947, becoming bob Jones University. The first three presidents were Bob Jones, Bob Jones Jr and Bob Jones III
