James Hamilton, Presbyterian minister, says Christianity civilizes by instilling equity (the Golden Rule), tenderness, compassion, and Truth.

Are we equally invested in both — or at least not a sarcastic opponent of one— saving the lost and relieving the wretched? Would anyone see tenderness in you, or the last 3 Christian influencer/pastors you quoted?

Thomas Manton, English Puritan, considers oppression of the poor. In many countries the gentry, “through greatness”, use the peasants to labor without reward. Jeremiah promises the wrath of God, as against King Jehoiakim.

In Manton’s day, he said it happened in many countries, and incurred the wrath of God. Are neither of these the case today?

How can you ensure those who serve you in various ways get their reward?
