Friday evening decision time. Do I go with a red ale, an IPA or lager? #beerposting

The first is one I'm not at all familiar with:
Camerons Strongarm, a Ruby Red, 4.3%
It's...kinda unreasonably sweet in taste.

The second is one that I'm most certainly familiar with:
McEwan's Champion, 7.3%
