Genocide continues across Palestine. Germany produces weapons that Israel uses in the genocide of Palestinians.
This makes Germany an accomplice.
And Germany is deliberately expanding its arms production – including in Berlin.
Rheinmetall is opening an arms factory in Berlin. Ammunition is produced there.
Rheinmetall supplies weapons to Israel, thereby enabling the genocide in Palestine.
When the Israeli army kills people in Palestine, this is made possible in Berlin too.
As long as profit takes precedence over life, we will resist. That is why we are taking action together against the Rheinmetall arms factory in Berlin.

In ganz Palästina geht der Völkermord weiter. Deutschland produziert Waffen, die Israel im Völkermord an Palästinenser*innen einsetzt.
Das macht Deutschland zum Mittäter.
Und Deutschland baut die Waffenproduktion bewusst weiter aus - auch in Berlin.
In Berlin eröffnet Rheinmetall eine Waffenfabrik. Dort wird Munition produziert.
Rheinmetall liefert Waffen an Israel und ermöglicht damit den Völkermord in Palästina.
Wenn die israelische Armee Menschen in Palästina tötet, dann wird das auch in Berlin ermöglicht.
Solange Profit über Leben steht, leisten wir Widerstand. Deshalb werden wir gemeinsam gegen die Rheinmetall Waffenfabrik in Berlin aktiv.

On March 18, Political Prisoners’ Day, our Political Movie Night will focus on the 1981 hunger strike by Irish political prisoners from the IRA and the INLA.
Hunger strikes played a central role in the struggle for Irish independence.
Among other things, republican prisoners fought for the United Kingdom to recognize their status as political prisoners.
As part of its policy of “criminalization,” the Thatcher government ended this special status for political prisoners in 1976.
As a result, all Northern Irish Catholics suspected of pro-republican activism could henceforth be imprisoned without trial.

Am 18. März, dem Tag der politischen Gefangenen, widmet sich unser politischer Filmabend dem Hungerstreik irischer politischer Gefangener der IRA und der INLA aus dem Jahr 1981.
Hungerstreiks spielten eine zentrale Rolle im Kampf um die irische Unabhängigkeit.
Unter anderem kämpften republikanische Gefangene dafür, dass das Vereinigte Königreich ihren Status als politische Gefangene anerkennt.
Im Rahmen ihrer Politik der „Kriminalisierung“ hob die Thatcher-Regierung diesen Sonderstatus für politische Gefangene 1976 auf.
Infolgedessen konnten fortan alle nordirischen Katholiken, die des pro-republikanischen Aktivismus verdächtigt wurden, ohne Gerichtsverfahren inhaftiert werden.

Aroma Zapatista at the Zapa Café: Fair trade coffee in solidarity with indigenous movements

The Aroma Zapatista collective from Hamburg imports and sells coffee from small-scale farmers in the Zapatista movement in Chiapas (Mexico) and the indigenous movement in Cauca (Colombia).
Through the concept of fair trade, it seeks to create an alternative to colonialist and capitalist exploitation in global trade.
In fair trade, risks are shared and the self-governance of these communities of resistance is financially supported through sales.
What does this mean in practice? And can it work?
A member of the collective will present the context and practice of their fair trade work and report on the difficulties and contradictions they face. Afterwards, we can reflect on this together.
