The #Azande practised intergenerational #homoeroticism up until the 20th century, typically between a ruler or warrior and a younger male - similar to #Greek tradition - however the same applied to women. Yet involvement between women was feared by the men as it was thought to double the woman's power. In many tribes, #Lesbian relationships were also thought to be magical but led to the #Adandara (#cat people), a word which became a term for lesbians.
