Me: Just look at our national rails system. Where I live the local trains wait for each other as the second track is as switched to national gauge so can’t be used by local trains on a different gauge. If a government ever took the hit and really standardised the network (maybe over a decade), trains would run so much better. Locally I wouldn’t have to wait while our local train waits its turn to use the single track available. CRAZYNESS.
