Mensch und Computer 2024 Short Papers AC Volunteering Form
Please fill out this form by May 7th if you are interested in serving as an Associate Chair for the Short Papers track of the Mensch und Computer conference.
Short Paper ACs are typically early-career researchers und experienced PhD students who have previous experience reviewing and/or publishing at HCI conferences. The Short Papers track is often the first time early-career researchers serve as AC on a program committee.
As an AC, you will provide the meta-review for approximately 3 papers as 1AC (primary associate chair) and for reviewing about 3 submissions as 2AC (secondary associate chair). With a total assignment load of about 6 papers. 1ACs are asked to recruit reviewers themselves, either from the pool of reviewers or through personal contacts. For each paper, 1ACs need to recruit two external reviewers. Finding reviewers will be supported by a reviewer pool on PCS.
SCHEDULE (tentative)
June 11th, 2024: Short paper submission deadline
June 27th, 2024: Review deadline (2ACs, and reviewers)
July 4th, 2024: Meta-review deadline (1AC)
July 9th, 2024: Author notification for short papers
1AC / 2AC TASKS
For each assigned 2AC paper, associate chairs write a full review (June 27th, 2024). 1ACs are responsible for inviting external reviewers and ensuring that the reviewers and 2ACs submit their reviews on time for the deadline. For each assigned 1AC paper, associate chairs write a meta-review (July 4th, 2024) summarizing the reviews.
