I don't remember any of my classes from MIS grad school > 10 years ago addressing how to be a manager - maybe I didn't take the class? Apparently it means being in meetings and running meetings. And joining committees, even chairing some of them. It's more stepping back and thinking more rather than doing all the things. It's enjoyable but also unexpected! A lot of my classes addressed being the "boots on the ground" rather than the Middle Manager of Justice. #thatarchiveslife#archivesproblems
