This is the farthest the Apple III has gotten in a long while. Still lots of garbage on the video mode but it can draw a picture of itself.

Have to build some MK4332 replacements. More soon, I hope. #apple3 #apple2 #retrocomputing

And before anyone asks how I know that this is in fact an #Apple1 #mainboard.

I did have the privilegue to touch one in person.

  • Sadly I am not at liberty to say where exactly, but I can put people in touch with the folks that exercise custody over it...

Cuz it's in an 'open by appointment only' collection alongside a fully functioning #Apple3 so yeah, the folks want to keep it under wraps and avoid a #ComputerReset type scenario with a museum collection...

I just figured out you can remove the anti-glare mesh from an Apple Monitor /// to clean it. Very nice.
