album: Orbital 2

band: Orbital

released: 1993

favorite song: Halcyon on and on

genre: Electronic, breakbeat, trance

thoughts: an absolute gem of an album that holds up 33 years later. while many know this album for 'halcyon on and on' its worth listening to every song on this album. its great to dance to, but also a great album to play while working, cleaning, or driving.

score: 9/10

New Order - Brotherhood (Full Album Vinyl Rip) [Crackly One]

YouTube

album: Business as usual

band: men at work

link: https://youtu.be/8DfQDrmhwKw

year released: 1983

genre: classic rock

country of origin: australia

thoughts: i was in a hurry at a local record shop bc another xenosister had got us some chinese takeout. i didnt want the food to get cold so i saw this and grabbed this with my coltrane album. while i was not as impressed with it as i thought i would be, id argue thats mostly due to two songs from this album being played to absolute death on classic rock stations. if you like this music its a must buy for early 80s rock. its still worth a pick up if you can find it for cheap. i still had fun with this and will probably check out their second album cargo also.

score: 7/10 (i was gonna rate it a low seven but the closer song down by the sea really bumped it up). its honestly pretty solid. i just wasnt feeling it on its first listen but again i think its just due to down under being overplayed (i really like who could it be now and always loved that song)
