zum Abschluss der Ace Week gibts noch einen letzten Mythos: "Ace ist ein neuer Trend"
Obwohl sich die Community mit Hilfe des Internets ziemlich sicher wesentlich effizienter zusammenfinden konnte, finden sich Erwähnungen von Asexualität spätestens im 19. Jahrhundert.
Wir haben uns dazu in unserem Podcast in den Folgen 23, 24 und 25 die Geschichte der Ace Community angeschaut.

This being an old document, it's not surprising that it contains some questionable language/rhetoric:

- The asexual identity here is seen as something that only people who aren't into sex can be, which is a harmful notion that leads to gatekeeping and erasure of sex-neutral and sex-favorable aces;

- Pronoun usage is like "him/her" instead of "them";

- This seems to be from a radical feminist perspective, so I'm not sure how much of this is entrenched into anti-kink/monosexist/cissexist/colonialist/etc. rhetoric.

However, it's good to have a piece of asexual history around.
