Trying to think of something for the #writershq prompt this week. "Restart vs Continue" that isn't bleak 'cos that's the mood it seems.
Otherwise slowly climbing the hill that is "Maggie in the Woods" on my #concertina.

@stephenlev Do you find it a bit erratic though? I do the weekly flash prompt from #writershq and I've had a couple where I scribble a few sentences, then it fizzles out. Like you're following a thread that snaps?

In Tetbury, at a cafe, trying to think of something new and non-llama for this week's Flash Face off over at #writershq - so at least I've done something this week. Prompt is "TASTE vs TEXTURE" so it's a struggle.

I recoil at the squeaking noises as the mussels hit the pan.
‘It’s not screams,’ my Dad laughs. ‘Just the air escaping’.
I think of their life underwater, secure in an air bubble.
The guilt fades as I devour them, dipping crusty bread in white wine sauce.

@stephenlev Agreed. Getting a whole story into those few words is a challenge, but really satisfying. #writershq (if you don't know them) do a weekly one with a prompt which is fun and they're super friendly.
