The Plot has been embiggened and now may be called The Worm Mound. Because of all the worms doing their job on the mushy sod. Thinking I might dig it out a little further so I can get two rhododendrons in there. Waiting to plant them though - once the deciduous and annuals are done, I should be able to select locations for better privacy.

The Trench has been widened and now may be called The Plot. It’s going to have to marinate for a while, because the lowest layer is hard packed sandy soil and rock. I got it down the best I could, then layered muddy sod (upside down) and some of the less muddy layer, then I added a couple bags of garden soil. There are tons of worms in the area, so I’m letting them figure things out. #WormPower

Probably some more sod to pull out, but it’s a good start.
