“When the court is arrayed in splendor,
The fields are full of weeds,
And the granaries are bare.” (Chapter 53)

Consider a homeowner who only focuses on the interior of their house while neglecting the exterior; the outside becomes overgrown with weeds. Similarly, when workers cater to the wealthy indoors, the fields remain unharvested. Balance the time spent on splendor and work. Strive for equilibrium and live according to the way of Tao.

The math does not add up here. There is one missing. Who knows what it is?
It is Laozi and others like him. Those beings that are enlightened. Those that go beyond the nine in ten; beyond the gross level.
Follow the one you are on, but strive for the one who is none. Good morning. I hope you have a peaceful day.

In ancient times, before the common man, there were ancient masters. These men were not like us, they were awake. In their collective state, they were able to do the amazing.

Why did they not seek fulfillment? Because they had no one to impress; all were equal. Why were they not swayed by desire for change? Because who would want to step outside of such a protected and structured state.

Seek not fulfillment but unity today, and have a great one!

Loss is a passing emotion. It creeps in when it should be shown out. By this, I mean, that loss is an external emotion, because the only emotion that comes from within is love; which leads to the Tao.

Think of loss as dress and undress.
