There's this nightclub act from the mid-20th century called Kay Martin & Her Bodyguards, which I've been obsessed with since finding a thrift store 'cheesecake' record called "I Know What He Wants For Christmas...But I Don't Know How To Wrap It!".

It's difficult to find information about them online, so I was thrilled to discover that someone in Reno got curious about the "Kay Martin Lodge" and went to the trouble of digging through local news archives and turned up a good handful of press clippings - including this badass publicity shot of Kay standing between Sammy Davis Jr. and actor Wild Bill Elliott.
