ITC Hotels Ltd (ITCHL) has announced the signing of two new Welcomhotel properties – one in Shirdi, Maharashtra, and another in Bhubaneshwar, Odisha – taking its Welcomhotel brand portfolio past the 50‑hotel mark. The brand now counts 51 hotels, offering over 5,500 keys, with 30 operating hotels and 21 more in the pipeline. Upcoming openings also include planned Welcomhotels in Gangtok (Sikkik), Bhopal and Gwalior (Madhya Pradesh).

The Shirdi hotel will be a 73‑room property operated under a definitive agreement with Sandy Resort Pvt Ltd, while the Bhubaneshwar property will comprise 84 rooms under the same partnership. Together with recent signings across 16 locations over the past year – from Ayodhya and Sarnath in Uttar Pradesh to Mysuru in Karnataka and Mohali in Punjab – the brand has expanded its footprint across hills, plains and coastal destinations.

ITC Hotels MD Anil Chadha hailed the milestone as a “special moment,” emphasizing the brand’s steady growth in both business and leisure segments and its commitment to delivering immersive guest experiences at the new sites. Sandy Resorts MD Sanjeev Kumar Patra expressed enthusiasm about the collaborations, noting the personal significance of the Shirdi and Bhubaneshwar projects for his family‑run business and reaffirming the shared vision with ITC Hotels for a successful launch.
