A disturbing look at how can think someone who has lived literally centuries. And how, imho, everything that person does, is simply to fight boredom.

Simon Fairchild is a bastard with the heart of a rat.

Basira wants to kill someone, i'm pretty sure.

And Martin will suffer in a way he isn't able to imagine, i'm pretty sure.

Ok. This one is pure nightmare. Mostly because i kow a place like the described here. With all those identical houses.

So, yes.A good horror tale. And then... Melanie. Who, for some reason, is on the road to be the Avatar of some power. About that, i'm sure.

Ok. Dr. Anastos was an idiot. The whole tale feels like a pre-Code EC horror comic. Jungle horror has that added quality of uneasy. Tee Extiinction' Maybe.

And...it seems martin started to have this power: Being invisible. Or at least un-noticeable to other people unless he starts talking to them.

This episode feels like the calm before the storm

This time, the key is this. And is oficcial.

Basira wants to kill someone. Final period. Someone who isn't human, of course.

AND, this is the real important thing, John is not human anymore. At all. He needs to know things. Trauma of other people, specifically.

The way the statement of this episode arrives at the hands of John is just nightmarish. She left it there knowing they would enter the place.

And then the statement itself. This had the intention of hurting john. No more, no less.

Which to me, says John is important to someone or something.

Ah, this one is a masterful show of storytelling! At first seems a more or less normal statement. but then, if you didn't connect the dots... John does it for you. And what happens next.

John is in serious trouble of losing his humanity. And i think basira would be happy because that would make easier to kill him.

The Apocalypse is coming, it will ot stop. And has something to do with Hill Top Road.

Well, another of the tapes recorded by Gertrude. More and more convinced she wasn't a good person. But she was one of the very few trying to do something.

On the other hand, the things and people she fought and killed (important) are worst, so...

The sign comes with the thing John says about that not-so-statue.

Gertrude was merciless as Hell.

This episode has the horror of being based on a very real situation at this side of the 4th Wall. You can feel the lack ogf hope of the person giving the statement. Also: The tale make suse of a real thing:Number stations.

Reality-based horror is always scarier than other horrors.

And then... Peter is a bastard. a very, very cruel one.

#TheMagnusArchives #Podcast #WebFiction #Horror #BritishHorror

So, what happened? because if Gertrude didn't stop the ritual, then, who or what did it? Not much happens. Heavy on story. but is the "i din't know what happened and i'm scared to death to ask" kind of story.

John? He seems to be more decided tha usual. Which i his case means taking a lot of suicide risks.

So... The feeling of "there's an apocalypse around the corner" came back. Stronger than before.
