A worker is irrigating corn fields in Bakersfield CA using a traditional method pumpingvgroundwater into poly pipes and running the water down the rows of corn using gravity. This method is heavily dependent on the slope of the field and the type of soil. It was 102°. #WeFeedYou

The rainier cherry harvest has begun in WA. This cherry is very delicate. Workers must be careful not to bruise it. They earn $10 per 25 lb bucket. In this very short one month season a very fast picker can make 40 buckets in a 8 hr day. But most workers pick much less. #WeFeedYou

"Julia" is harvesting WA cherries. "It's slow, but I'm looking forward to when peak season hits in July. We'll have a 6-7 week window that if we work fast we could save money. We earn $4/20-25lb bucket. Ivmake 30 buckets/day now but in peak season sometimes I make 70. #WeFeedYou
