Terry RWayne Newton at Golden State Theatre in Monterey last night. Been awhile since I've been to a show, so was good to get out. Kind of a thin crowd, but had a lot of fun. His voice was a bit hoarse, but he could still play some mean guitar and fiddle, and had a lot of fun with the audience. A true entertainer. #livemusic #monterey #waynenewton

"Danke Schoen" ( DAHNG-kə shayn, German: [ˈdaŋkə ʃøːn] ) is a pop song of German origin, whose title translates to English as "Thank you very much". #BertKaempfert, who composed the melody, recorded it as an instrumental, in 1959 and later in 1962, under the title "Candlelight Cafe". Kurt Schwabach wrote the German lyrics. The song gained international fame in 1963 when singer #WayneNewton recorded an #American version, with English lyrics by #MiltGabler.
