#watercolour #watercolor Here’s a 7 minute sketch of my neighbor’s house and garden, using a new sketch board that I made for the #watercolourchallenge1. I’m so happy to have this wonderful view. Brush:8 round, plus a credit card. Colors: Phthalo Blue, Quin Rose, Pyrrol Scarlet, Hansa, Burnt Sienna. This was fast and fun! Enjoy!
#watercolour #watercolor Well, here’s my first attempt at the #watercolourchallenge1 , a 7minute painting. It’s a block of historic buildings in my small town. I’m used to painting slowly and with more detail, so I don’t know whether to laugh or cry at this attempt. I made a new watercolor board for this, so I can do more #urbansketching

For years, cartooning (and to a degree, acting and music) were my only forms of art, so it has been fun to find this community with Curator Prompts that have literally prompted me to try different things.

Case in point, here’s my #1MinuteSketch for the #WatercolourChallenge1
…a two-for-one!

I’ve never put a time limit on my drawings so 60 seconds (ok… 90 seconds) was a challenge! The splash of watercolor certainly helps.
Technically wonky? Sure, but for me, the simplicity is refreshing.

Tried my hand at #watercolourchallenge1 This took me about 10 minutes total. I kind of like how the sketch turned out, but the paint seems uninteresting and the values are off. I’m not used to painting white buildings. Had fun though. #CuratorPrompts148 #Watercolor #MastoArt
@ianjago @welshpixie Done! What a wonderful idea! First I wanted to spend one minute each for coloring but then I realized that it makes more sense to spend one minute each color for all four pictures. So I needed around one minute for greens, one for shadows, one for special stuff in red and yellow and the last one for a second round of green and shadow. That was fun! Thank you both!
