In honor of the cancellation of my subscription to the Washington Post, I have subscribed to the Philadelphia Inquirer; & arranged recurring donations to, & newsletters from, the Texas Tribune, ProPublica, and the Associated Press. (ETA: & the Guardian). I've also made a one-time donation to the Mississippi Free Press.
While I'm still mad, I'm accepting nominations for other non-profit or independently owned news organizations known for committing acts of journalism. Location doesn't matter much if they cover international & US news: I don't live in Philadelphia, Texas, or Mississippi, or even in Washington DC.

*to dispel any idea that I am some Big Goddamned Journalism-Supporting Hero: most of these donations have been in the mid-single-digit range; & I will probably cancel the Philly Inquirer in 6 months when my $0.99 introductory special goes up to their regular $5.41/week.
