The green light to lengthen the existing #airstrip in Kampung Tekek on Pulau Tioman, will allow the 72-seater Aerei da Trasporto Regionale (#ATR) #turboprop #aircraft to take off and land on the duty-free island.

The announcement to extend the existing #runway and improve #passenger #facility at the #airport is a much-awaited news.

The move to lengthen current 913m airstrip to 1.3km will allow ATR aircrafts to land.
