"...a replica built by JackPeters of a fretted #clavichord (Frankfurt c1670) by IsraelGellinger. The naturals are made of olive wood and the accidentals of ebony. This instrument was just built, and I am "breaking it in" for Jack. I transposed the Preludio from Bach's #ViolinPartita No. 3 from E maj to G maj to fit the range of the instrument. The clavichord is extremely responsive, and I find its warm, fruity tone to be peculiarly attractive."
