CFA engineering since the #AshWednesday and #Linton fires have made fire response vehicles fire resistant. The latest fires show you cannot out-volunteer, out-engineer or out-manoeuvre #bushfires. <https://youtube.com/watch?v=4ONQSjkRWi8>

Each of the tankers in the demo trials is where I’ve lived, travel regularly through. The image first shown is what happened at #UpperBeaconsfield on Ash Wednesday flashover.

Shit. Bushfire season is coming up. All the bad fires cluster around the mid to late February.

I lived through three fires. The first as a four year old. The painting you see is the part of the trees overhead burning.

My second fire was at the end of High school. Lost mates that year doing their job serving the community.

My last major fire was in 2009. Every one I knew or went to school was effected in some way. Some lost shed and houses. Others lost families.

You could see it from space. Spent the best of 09, 10 & 11 clearing up my Dads & Mooses properties.

The last image is myself and Moose freezing our arse off finishing a walk from Canberra to Mt. Koscuiszko.
