It's really good to see the widespread condemnation for the West Australian Premier's comments regarding Banksia Hill and Unit 18. McGowan has form when it comes to using scare-words like 'terrorism' to avoid dealing with complex issues. Banksia Hill and Unit 18 are full of kids with comlpex problems who should be receiving psychological and medical help, not continuing imprisonment and institutionalisation. How 'bout we shut down Banksia Hill and use the savings to provide the necessary services, instead of our "leaders" appealing to the kind of moralism and knee-jerk law-and-order bullshit that got us into this mess in the first place.
