U.S.S. Liberty Military Crimes Scandal Goes Mainstream on June 8, 2026: Liberty Survivors Larry Bowen, Mo Schaefer, Phil Tourney Speak Out.
How will Benjamin Netanyahu and Donald Trump respond?
Posted by Jerry Alatalo | June 7, 2026
Congressman Thomas Massie of Kentucky will be honoring those who were killed (murdered in a premeditated covert military operation) aboard the U.S.S. Liberty along with Liberty survivors on the floor of the United States Congress on Monday, June 8, 2026 – marking the 59-year anniversary of the horrific, criminal, historic event which occurred on June 8, 1967.
In other words, the 59-year U.S.S. Liberty criminal coverup is now, finally and mercifully, over.
Let’s just say it will be “very interesting, indeed” to see how Israel Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and United States President Donald Trump respond, or refuse/fail to respond, to the Liberty scandal detonating in the equivalent to a nuclear weapon explosion heard across the Earth.
Because, after Thomas Massie’s C-SPAN-broadcasted action to honor the Liberty crew – those 34 men who were coldly, brutally killed, the 174 severely wounded, and the survivors – goes ultra-viral across the planet, – Benjamin Netanyahu and Donald Trump will have no choice but to respond in an appropriate, cogent, rational, honest and sincere manner.
Liberty survivors Larry Bowen, Mo Schaefer and Phil Tourney will likely be joining Congressman Thomas Massie on the floor of Congress.
The American people and the people of the world are going to directly witness and then directly experience an historic, paradigm-shifting, world-changing event.
Please share far and wide. Thank you very much. Peace.
Israeli News Live: USS Liberty Panel
Mar 18
This powerful interview features three survivors of the June 8, 1967, attack on the USS Liberty by Israeli forces during the Six-Day War. Phil Tourney, Larry Bowen, and Mo Schaefer recount the brutal details of the assault on the American intelligence ship, which resulted in 34 deaths and 174 injuries.
Their voices matter. Their memories remain. And their message is clear — we remember, and we will not forget.
🇺🇸 USS Liberty Survivors Speak Out
In a powerful panel discussion on Israeli News Live with Steven Ben-Nun, three USS Liberty survivors — Phil Tourney, Moe Shafer, and Larry Bowen — came together to share their firsthand accounts of the attack on their ship.
These men were in different parts of the USS Liberty on June 8, 1967, yet their stories all point to the same conclusion:
What happened that day was no accident.
⚓ Three Sailors. One Story.
During the panel, Phil Tourney, Moe Shafer, and Larry Bowen each described what they witnessed aboard the USS Liberty.
Despite being stationed in completely different areas of the ship, their memories align on key details about the attack — from the aircraft overhead to the torpedo strike that tore through the ship’s side.
For the survivors, the consistency of these accounts matters.
Because it shows that the truth of that day is not based on speculation — it is based on eyewitness testimony.
💥 The Attack on the USS Liberty
On June 8, 1967, during the Six-Day War, the USS Liberty — a U.S. Navy intelligence ship — was attacked in international waters.
The assault involved fighter jets, rockets, napalm, and torpedo boats, leaving:
• 34 American servicemen dead
• 174 wounded
• A heavily damaged ship barely able to stay afloat
For the men who survived, the attack is something they relive every time they tell their story.
🧭 Why They Keep Speaking Out
Nearly 60 years later, these survivors continue sharing their experiences for one reason:
They want the truth remembered.
Phil Tourney, Moe Shafer, and Larry Bowen have spent decades telling the story of the USS Liberty because they believe the American public deserves to know what happened to their ship and their shipmates.
🕊 Remembering the 34
At the center of every conversation about the USS Liberty are the 34 Americans who lost their lives that day.
For the survivors, every interview, every panel discussion, and every podcast appearance is about honoring those men.
Their message remains simple:
Never forget June 8, 1967.
Never forget the USS Liberty.
Never forget the 34.
