This is pathetic hand-wringing from public health experts about wearing face masks to reduce flu transmission. In trying to reach a consensus and worrying about messaging, they've made the story the disagreements and not health protection.

They need to get over themselves and their obsession with "behavioural fatigue" and back the cheap supply of N95 masks to the public and especially healthcare workers. People in East Asia manage to wear masks just fine and there's ample evidence that they reduce viral transmission.
