It seems a very #british thing, I've been advised to approach doctors about my living situation and my mental health, rather than going #housing and #SocialCare first. I go to doctors with a parent, btw. They get particularly anxious around my appnts. I don't want to bad talk the people I love just because we struggle together, and *particularly* not to light fire under arses for people to do their jobs. Its something that feels nasty to do and I won't be party to #UKSocialCare 's nastiness

Julian McCrae,director of the charity Engage Britain wrote an article in The Times this morning on the urgent need to improve social care.
Up to now the NHS has been able to ignore social care as it's someone else's problem. In my opinion the only way to solve the problem is to bring them both under the same authority.
