Project 2025 aims to raise the retirement age from 67 to 69. This would:
- cut benefits by $4,000-$8,000 after one year on SS.
- cut benefits by $46,000-$100,000 (for median-wage earners) after 10 years on SS

Republicans are lying. Social Security is a self-funded program supported by the employee/employer payroll tax, interest earned on the trust fund balance, and taxes on the benefits.
