Pet peeve: using ‘traditional’ when what is actually meant is ‘conventional’ or ‘historical’ or even ‘superseded’ or ‘obsolete’. IMHO tradition refers to a cultural practice or religious observance, not a scientific convention, or a rejected theory. A tradition could never be proven wrong or inaccurate in the way that a theory might be, because the origin of tradition is not scientific endeavour. #TraditionVSConvention #Language
