Oliver KennedyWired headphones are working again after a good resoldering. Just added a coat of gorilla glue to replace the load-bearing melted plastic sleeve that I had to tear off.
Battery acid from a pair of double-As had leaked out over the battery compartment of a small area lamp. Fortunately, the compartment was removable and held together by screws, so I was able to clean the plastic and shape a set of replacements for the corroded springs.
