A big reason to love working at a Canadian university — it’s the first week of April and also the last week of teaching for the semester 🙌🏽
So ready for my nearly 5 month summer break…so I can spend a lot of time lovingly working on research 👩🏽💻 #ThirdYearProfLife
At the beginning of this academic year I told myself I wouldn't take on any undergraduate students in the summertime. Just too much work. And now..
Starting an ecological statistics summer club for undergrads/grads where we'll work on Gaussian random fields/processes applied to cool ecological data.
What can I say, it's just too much fun.

Finally caught #COVID -- currently on day 9, still testing positive. Naturally occurs during the busiest, most stressful time of the year. Luckily mild symptoms this whole time and I've been resting a lot.
Downside -- so much work to do and only now regaining energy to do it
Upside -- Star Trek. So much Star Trek 🖖🏽
Having a cat makes work interesting. He has reported an email as junk and confirmed that it is, in fact, junk, and I have absolutely no idea which one it was.
Something vital to my grants? An important email I had been meaning to get to….?? The world may never know. #ThirdYearProfLife
Achievement of the day:
I didn’t get *too* lost on the way to teaching. Managed to make it with 1 min to spare. And was only off by 1 building. #ThirdYearProfLife
