I was listening to a playlist of Gorillaz songs. I should have expected it, but The Phik Phantom came on. Cue the waterworks. It's like that breakup happened yesterday.

I tried to give her everything she might need... Oh, did I try... but that wasn't enough.
Nowadays, when the official clip comes up, I tear up a bit. But seeing it played live? I completely lost it. It was like the betrayal happened yesterday. It's been two years... and yet.
Then they had to play Souk Eye right after. It does not have the impact of The Pink Phantom, but to me it is another breakup song.

I have no idea when I'm going to be able to listen to The Pink Phantom without bawling my eyes out.
I learned of her backstabbing on April 3rd 2023... or maybe the day before. I'm not sure. That was the day I decided to block her from my life, my greatest success and my biggest failure. It's been almost a year, and I still bawl my eyes out.
Am I over her?
Yes, I am, but man, the pain when this song comes on. The song just came on, and I bawled my eyes out, on cue.
