David Bragg@ItsSheVee it was long overdue. I'd looked at Mastodon years ago when the service was starting to spin up in response to equally disappointing bird site news. Got distracted and mostly distanced myself from all social media.
Found myself back the last couple years and not enjoying it. Was leaning toward another sabbatical when #TheMuskening occurred and that was enough to push me forward.
Mastodon removes the things I hated. Ads, algorithm based feed, and the omnipresent need for impressions.
