@Amanharan i've taken to calling the whole debacle #themuskening as the similarities to the downfall of M Night with the happening are palpable
@kairyssdal i've been debating with a close friend about whether or not this is really the end for the bird app, but i can't really see any meaningful endgame with these shenanigans. so rough to be watching #themuskening
@nova here i thought being able to follow the technical bits of #themuskening cured my imposter syndrome, but i still have to learn to trap marmots

Finding it more difficult to let my hair down when posting here since #TheMuskening

In the name of popping that bubble, here I am with hair the opposite of down... Mine's the less perfect of the two 😭

#MastoPunks

While Mastodon is currently awash in new guides, advice, etc. I thought I'd go ahead and repost my very concise guide for new exiles from Twitter, which I posted the last time we had a Muskening event.

#TheMuskening #TwitterMigration

@ItsSheVee it was long overdue. I'd looked at Mastodon years ago when the service was starting to spin up in response to equally disappointing bird site news. Got distracted and mostly distanced myself from all social media.

Found myself back the last couple years and not enjoying it. Was leaning toward another sabbatical when #TheMuskening occurred and that was enough to push me forward.

Mastodon removes the things I hated. Ads, algorithm based feed, and the omnipresent need for impressions.
