The Doctor: Unsuccessfully, most of the time. She's a bad girl, this one. Always looking for trouble.

The Doctor: You didn't always take me where I wanted to go.

Idris/TARDIS: No, but I always took you where you needed to go.

@HollyGoDarkly So, just a thought...Did #DoctorWho S12's massive reveal that the Doctor had more lives make #TheDoctorsWife non-canon? If the Doctor had more lives before Hartnell AND still had the same TARDIS, then is this conversation true?

Idris: Do you ever wonder why I chose you all those years ago?
The Doctor: I chose you. You were unlocked.
Idris: Of course I was. I wanted to see the Universe so I stole a Time Lord & I ran away. And you were the only one mad enough.

I never forget how amazing this episode is but sometimes the magic and cleverness of the script still surprise me.
