There is a tradition to lit candle in memory of victims of mass political repressions by USSR at 21:00 till 22:00 of 5 September.
Date picked because 5 September 1918 the so called "decree for the Red Terror" has been adopted.
The Red Terror lasted from 1918 to 1922, but the machine of mass political repressions, deportations, and other crimes against humanity did not stop up to collapse of Soviet Union.
