As the years go on, I find that the 1984 TV version of #TheChristmasCarol with George C. Scott has replaced the 1951 version Alistair Sim-led version as the superior film. The production design, the pacing, the atmosphere (which the ‘51 version excelled at as well) — and, of course, the acting. In fact, it seriously needs to be considered one of Scott’s top performances. Just my humble opinion.
