Watching Stuff
The Adam Project
- It was an enjoyable, low-stress way to spend time. The stakes were high, but because it's a time travel movie you know there's a happily ever after coming.
- I thought all the actors played their roles well, especially Ryan Reynolds, whose tough defensive sarcasm was perfect for the character.
The 'Burbs (2026)
- Keke Palmer and Paula Pell? Yes please.
- Keke Palmer's wardrobe in this? Also yes please.
- Festersen is a great surname for an HOA president.
- Weird ensemble mysteries seem to be my thing lately and this ensemble is weird.
- Slightly predictable at the end, but that doesn't take away the fun of getting there.
The New Legends of Monkey (S01E01&02)
- This would fit seamlessly with the 90s genre shows. (As soon as I had that thought I checked and no surprise, it is made in NZ/AUS.)
- Sandy is very Drusilla, and I always enjoy a powerful and dangerous banana.
- Tripitaka's dialogue is so right for an orphan raised by a monk with a mission. She isn't just talking, she's narrating a story.
