Horrible news from #Texas: Effective April 1, 2026, "all books mailed to inmates [in state prisons run by #TDCJ] must be softback and in new condition." Being unable to send hardcover books to people in Texas will be only a small inconvenience for us, but being unable to send used books will severely limit our ability to serve that population.

We've never been accused of drug smuggling, so it's annoying to see drug smuggling cited as the reason for the new policy.
