On February 28, demonstrations took place throughout Greece and in cities around the world to mark three years since the Tempi rail disaster—a crime of capitalism, which took the lives of 57 people. This would be a joke, if it wasn't for the 57 victims in the #Tempi train crash, exactly 3 years this Saturday.
The Greek ministry of Transportation is proudly promoting this as the next era of railways: 2 GPS points barely moving on a map, in an almost linear railway "grid" of 1,800 km in total. A typical programming example of RESTful API in Javascript, no more than 2k-3k lines of code (max), which any coding LLMs can correctly generate within 5-10 minutes.

Multiple 🇪🇺 subplots in the 🇬🇷 tragedy of the #Tempi train crash, including the bereaved mother demanding accountability from a Greek govt. hellbent on covering up the #EU funds fraud being a religious fundie who'll probably end up in PfE (Ingeborg: "Life is complicated, #Europe too"). But none more intersting to me than the 🇪🇺 rule of law angle. Your national goverment does not care about rule of law, it will cover up for a fellow EUCO member, but #EPPO says naaah.
