therapist said she wouldn’t sign a MAD contract, but also that she wouldn’t call the cops on me if she felt my reasons for wanting to die were justified. this is only somewhat relieving, as she couldn’t produce an abstract formula for what might be justified. 😞
she did eventually give an example that wasn’t already backed by legal provisions for euthanasia (such as terminal illness), but it felt like i was playing word games trying to extract information out of her the whole time. 😩
i wanted to know if she could be relied on to help me conduct research for a legal means of assisted suicide, if there were a time when i were too cognitively impaired to do so myself. unfortunately, she made it clear that she wasn’t comfortable doing so. 😕
essentially she advocated for not telling her if i were seriously gonna go through with it because there’d not be a whole lot of point in doing so. 🤷♀️
overall, the conversation didn’t really instill a whole lot of confidence that i ought to trust her any more than i do now. 😮💨

(obligatory disclosure that i am not actively suicidal and that this was a continuance of a conversation id have with her over a year ago from when i was seriously entertaining suicide in the mid-term)
