Stop-motion test using 145 photographs, captured from a bridge above a highway. All images were taken with my smartphone in full manual mode, with fixed ISO, shutter speed, aperture, and focus for consistent results.

Orientation corrected with mogrify (ImageMagick), sorting and renaming via script, final encoding with FFmpeg.

I was supposed to be assisting with an art workshop this week, but I'm at home instead. My partner got sick with norovirus and I dont want to be a spreader. They're doing animation with the kids today, and I made this to show them, just as a little tester, to show what you can do with a radiator key and some paperclips. So, I'll show you all instead 😅

Finally getting around to watching The Primevals which was the passion project for the guy who did most of the stop-motion work for Full Moon Features (also won an Oscar for Young Sherlock Holmes and worked on the great Q: The Winged Serpent) that ran out of money to finish in the 90s but years after his death Full Moon put together the funds to finish with help from colleagues/friends of his. Based around a Yeti but obviously King Kong-influenced.
